NHS cash benefit
Day-patient and out-patient radiotherapy and chemotherapy £50 per day plus £50 per night in-patient stay (up to £2,000 per year)
Nursing at home
Paid in full (for the administration of intravenous chemotherapy for the treatment of cancer or intravenous antibiotics which otherwise would require you to be admitted for in-patient treatment or day-patient treatment)
Parental accommodation
Paid in full (child up to age 14 who is covered by the policy and receiving eligible treatment. Benefit is paid from the child’s benefits)

Pregnancy
The following conditions would be considered for treatment:
• ectopic pregnancy (where the foetus is growing outside the womb)
• hydatidiform mole (abnormal cell growth in the womb)
• retained placenta (afterbirth retained in the womb)
• placenta praevia
• eclampsia (a coma or seizure during pregnancy and following pre-eclampsia)
• diabetes (If you have exclusions because of your past medical history which relate to diabetes, then you will not be covered for any treatment for diabetes during pregnancy)
• post partum haemorrhage (heavy bleeding in the hours and days immediately after childbirth)
• miscarriage requiring immediate surgical treatment
• failure to progress in labour
Transplants
Reasonable costs incurred for a live donor to donate an organ or tissue provided that:
• the operations to both the donor and the recipient are carried out simultaneously; and either
• both the donor and the recipient are immediate relatives (ie parent, child or sibling) and either the donor or the recipient is covered on this policy; or
• both the donor and the recipient are members of AXA PPP healthcare at the time the operations are carried out and both have been members since before the recipient developed the medical condition requiring the transplant

Heart and Cancer Commitment
* £5,000 for external prostheses (such as limbs) and up to £150 for wigs.
* Axa PPP will consider requests for experimental surgery which will be reviewed by our clinical team.
* If experimental drug treatment is needed then we will cover it if it is part of an ethical trial and pre agreed by us. In addition injectable hormone treatment and bisphosphonate treatment used to manage cancer will be fully covered while active treatment is being received.
* Access to a dedicated heart nurse
* No time limits for ongoing check ups following heart surgery
* Full refund on palliative care
