| The days are longer and we've been saving money by eating out less and taking fewer holidays. So what should we do with all this extra leisure time? A new government campaign hopes to persuade us to spend it out and about in our local communities being more physically active. The 'Be Active, Be Healthy' plan aims to get 2 million more people exercising regularly by 2012 as part of the London Olympics legacy. The message to the nation's couch potatoes, including the 40 per cent of us who watch more than two hours of TV a day according to our latest poll, is simple: get off your sofas and be more active to prevent the country becoming 'the obesity capital of the world'.  |
